Incognito mode, called inPrivate in IE and Edge, allows you to browse websites privately without leaving any footprints behind. You press Ctrl+Shift+N to open up a Chrome window in Incognito mode and start browsing in peace. But if you have a website opened up in a tab that you actually would like to browse in Incognito mode, here is a quick way of doing it.
Head over to Go Incognito extension page in the Chrome Web Store, click Add to Chrome button at the top right corner to have it installed in your Chrome. Once installed, you will see a black mask icon showing up in the extension bar next to the hamburger button.
Now, when you are on a web page you want to reopen in Incognito mode, right-click anywhere on the page and choose Go Incognito.
It not only opens the web page in Incognito mode but also remove traces of the current tab from the regular browsing history in Chrome. You can also change this default behavior in the extension’s options page.
On the reverse side, if you have a tab open in incognito mode and click the “Go Incognito” option, the tab will then launch in the regular window in the browser.
