It started happening recently where the Chrome browser threw out this error message when I was trying to access Microsoft website.
This site can’t be reached
www.microsoft.com unexpectedly closed the connection.
When I tried it on other browsers, including Edge, Firefox, or Safari, they all work fine. It even works in Incognito mode as well. So, it’s more like a cache or cookie related issue.
I went ahead and cleaned up the cached files in Chrome. And it didn’t help. Then I went in Chrome again and removed all the cookies as well. And it did the trick.
It looks like that this may occur on Chrome when you signed into Bing or Microsoft Account. The saved Microsoft Account cookies could be the one that prevents the Microsoft website from loading properly.
