Hidden Game in Google Chrome’s Offline Page

What to do when there is no internet? If you are using Google Chrome, here are a few things that you can still do when being offline.

  • Offline edit files through Google Docs
  • Read emails in Gmail
  • Read cached web content that you have browsed before
  • etc.

Then when none of these things work, or you just want to have some fun moment, there is an easter egg hidden in the Chrome that you may enjoy.

When you see this little dragon getting ready on the Chrome’s offline page like below,

Press the Space key and see what happens next. That’s right, the little dragon will start moving forward as soon as you press the Space key.

There are obstacles like cactus moving towards you. Don’t get bumped into them. Use the Space key again to jump over them to keep moving. But when you see a bird flying towards you, don’t jump, just move straight to pass it. Or, the little dragon will end up like this. Game Over.

The game is simple enough but when you have nothing to do but challenge yourself for a higher score, it’s a good one to kill time.
