When you stumbled upon a beautifully designed WordPress website, have you ever wondered what theme and plugins it uses to make such impressive site? I am not sure if you did but I do, many times.
Now with this tool’s help, I can easily find the answer that keeps me wondering without no way of knowing it.
The tool is called What WordPress Theme is That? and it’s a web app that you can run in your browser.
Type in the website’s address in the box and press Enter or click the magnifying glass icon. The app will start working its magic by pulling all data from the site and analyzing the style sheet. Most of the WordPress themes include links to the original theme page and developer’s web page in the comments in the stylesheet.
For example, if you do a search for EdgeTalk site, you will find which theme I picked and customized for this website.
It’s pretty accurate. If you keep scrolling down the page, you can even find some of the plugins I installed and used on the site for certain purposes.
Looks pretty good. But unfortunately, it doesn’t always work the same way. If a website uses a custom theme you will get a message saying:
But still, it will go on and find whatever plugins the site uses.
Hopefully, this simple web app can do all the heavy-lifting work for you to reveal some of the information you are looking for.
